My new Cosmetic Surgery news job

As part of my general interest in beauty and fashion, I’ve been increasingly dragged into the world of Cosmetic Surgery. I’ve never had any myself (yet), but I wouldn’t be against it as I age. A lot of my friends have had some treatment, from liposuction and botox to breast enlargement and dimple surgery.

Anyway, I’ve been approached to take a new role – as editor of a new Cosmetic Surgery news blog website, cosmetic365.com. I’m pretty excited about it, as I find the whole area fascinating. We humans have been trying to improve our appearance since the dawn of time, and cosmetic/plastic surgery is the most sophisticated approach we have yet to come up with yet.

What’s often struck me is the psychological aspect of cosmetic surgery. That’s the real reason people go under the knife, to feel better about themselves. I’ve seen friends who feel so much better about themselves even though, physically, the difference is really quite slight. A slightly bigger boob or a bit less fat around the tummy. People have cosmetic surgery to feel more confident, that’s the biggest reason.

Anyway, check out the site and my first article, about dimple surgery. I’m planning to write quite a few more over the coming weeks. The site is also translated, so hopefully I’ll get an international audience as well. If anybody is looking to contribute or has any cosmetic surgery stories they’d like to share, let me know.

What shall I look into next? Breast Augmentation (aka Boob jobs)? Liposuction? Nose jobs? So much choice for a girl!
